Post Licensure Classes
A post-licensure track must be completed by all REALTORS® who are renewing their license for the FIRST TIME ONLY. If you have already renewed once, please visit the Continuing Education page to review your credit requirements.
Post Licensure Education Requirements
(Residential Track)
Mandatory topics: 15 hours
The following 5 topics are required as an introduction to the Residential Real Estate Practice Track. Each of the sections covers a minimum of three hours, for a total of fifteen mandatory hours.
- Agency Law
Seller agency, buyer agency, designated agency, dual agency. - Fair Housing
Definitions, advertising, ADA compliance, current case review. - Real Estate Law
Board regulations, property owners' and condominium associations, environmental issues including underground storage tanks, wetlands, mold, and radon. - Offer to Purchase
Contract writing, deposits, contingencies. - Ethics and Standards of Conduct
Current industry issues and trends
Elective Topics - 15 hours
Any Elective course may be a MINIMUM of 1 Hour and a MAXIMUM of 4
Limited Service Agency
In addition to these 30 hours of post-licensure education, you must also complete 2 hours in Limited Service Agency if renewing your license before July 1, 2009.
