What is a Primary member?
An individual is a primary member of CAAR if they pay local, state and national dues through CAAR. New member dues and application fees apply. New member orientation is required within 6 months of joining.
What is a Secondary member?
An individual is a secondary member if they pay current state or national dues through another association/board. A Letter of Good Standing is required from your primary association/board.
If the current year's Virginia REALTORS® (VAR) and NAR dues have been paid through your primary association/board, then only the application fee and CAAR local dues apply.
If only the current year's NAR dues have been paid through your primary association/board, then the application fee, CAAR local dues, VR dues, Issues Mobilization Fund, and new member fees apply.
Membership dues shall not be prorated if an individual held REALTOR® membership during preceding calendar year. The Ethics portion of the New Member Orientation class will be waived, provided member has completed Ethics within the last two years.

Payment
Payment required before membership can be granted. Membership dues and fees are non-refundable. Acceptance forms of payment include:
- Cash
- Check - make check payable to CAAR
- MasterCard
- Visa
Supra Key and Lockbox
To subscribe to Supra lockbox key service, please download the eKey mobile application (app) by Supra to your phone. Your setup and demonstration for key service will be completed during your scheduled appointment.
- iPhones - you must have your Apple ID Password available before you can download the eKey app. Locate the "App Store" on your phone and then search and download the eKey app by Supra.
- Android - locate the "Play Store" on your phone. Search and download the eKey app by Supra.
